University Kidney Research Organization (“UKRO”) President and Kleinberg Lange Founder Ken Kleinberg was featured in the USC Keck Research Quarterly hailing the arrival of Kenneth R. Hallows, MD, PhD, who has joined Keck Medicine of USC as chief of the Division of Nephrology and director of the new USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center which has commenced operations.
Dr. Hallows is an internationally recognized expert in physiology and kidney disease. Ken Kleinberg, President of UKRO, said “UKRO is delighted to welcome Dr. Hallows to USC’s group of internationally known researchers and clinicians in the field of nephrology. We are counting on his leadership to establish the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center at the forefront of renal research worldwide.”
The hire comes as USC/UKRO has now commenced operations in two floors of laboratories in the Mudd Research building on the USC Keck Medical Campus. UKRO is among the few 501(c)3 organizations nationally whose sole mission is raising funding for kidney research.
